Festival Package - Pooram

Every Festival though connected with Religious Temples and Shrines,is more of a Socio Cultural Event in which people of all creeds participate. These Festivals are the occasions to watch the Classical, Folk and Ritual Arts and the Elephant Pageants of the State.

A festival of the Gods, Caparisoned Elephants, Glitter of Gold and blazing colors, Throbbing Percussion Beats, Quintessencetial Kerala Music and Spectacular Fireworks.

THRISSUR, known as the ‘Cultural Capital of Kerala’, is situated in the Central Region of the State. The WORLD FAMOUS POORAM FESTIVAL Celebrated every year during the Month of April / May.

The sprawling Thekkinkadu Maidan located at the Heart of the City and encircled the famous Vadakkumnathan Temple is the venue of almost all major events of POORAM FESTIVAL.

Procession of Majestic Caparisoned Elephants, Exchange of Colorful Parasols, the Splendid Percussion Concerts by the teams of the most outstanding personalities in the field and above all the Magnificent Fire Works display are some of the exciting components for the Festival.

We invites you to witness this spectacular, pageantry celebration and also a visit to the Traditional Kerala House for a Full Day Cultural Event of Kerala Art forms.

Day One

• Arrival Cochin Airport,
• Drive to Thrissur / Guruvayur.
• Check in to the AC Deluxe Room of the Hotel.
• Evening to the Venue of Pooram Festival, to Witness the Sample Fire Works Display in connection with the Festival.
• Back to Hotel. Dinner & Stay.

Day Two

• After Lunch proceed to visit the Traditional Kerala Home to enjoy the Kerala Cultural Arts.
• Thayambaka : Symphony of Drums. 1. 5 Hour.
• Mohiniyattam :Classical Dance of Kerala. 1 Hour
• Kathakali : Traditional Dance of Kerala. 3 Hours
• Dinner (typical Kerala veg) will be served here.
• Back to hotel

Day Three - POORAM FESTIVAL

• After breakfast, proceed to the Venue, to witness the Famous ‘Panchavadyam’ percussions
• After Lunch again to the venue to witness the ‘Melam’
• Evening watch the colorful parasol exchange, then the Fire works display. Back to Hotel
• After Dinner there will be a Live Show of Kalaripayattu - the Martial Art of Kerala, for 2 hours.
• Again to the venue to witness the Magnificent Fire Works display.
• Back to Hotel.

Day Four

• Checkout after breakfast,
• Transfer to Cochin Airport
• Back to Hometown
